The role of the Head Counselor is to provide strategic expertise and help students make the most important decisions, such as choosing a personal statement topic and building the college list. We call these Head Counselor meetings "milestone meetings." These milestone meetings take place around every 2-8 weeks. The College Coach then covers all of the work that happens in between these milestone meetings. For example, the College Coach helps your student brainstorm potential majors and research colleges. Our College Coaches give students constructive feedback and suggestions, and assist the student so they are fully prepared to discuss the most important topics with their Head Counselor in the next milestone meeting. The College Coach and Head Counselor also maintain an open line of communication about each student so that they can advise the student as a team, instead of as two individuals.
